Disney+ Reveals 2025 Asia-Pacific Lineup and Confirms Moving Season 2

Disney+ has unveiled an exciting lineup of original content set to premiere across the Asia-Pacific region in 2025, with a strong focus on Korean series. Among the biggest announcements is the confirmation that season 2 of the hit K-drama Moving is officially in development.

Moving Season 2 Confirmed

After the immense success of its first season, Disney+ has greenlit the development of Moving Season 2. The series, known for blending action and fantasy with heartfelt themes of friendship, family, and growth, became a fan favorite both locally and internationally.

Although the second season is still in early development, Disney+ promises to deliver more details as production progresses.

Korean Originals Dominate Disney+ Viewership

Korean content continues to dominate Disney+’s international viewership, with nine of the platform’s 15 top-performing non-English titles coming from South Korea. This year alone, the action series A Shop For Killers became the most-watched title in the Asia-Pacific region, while the travel reality show Are You Sure?! featuring BTS stars Jimin and Jung Kook led the platform’s unscripted content.

Disney+ also revealed several new Korean originals set to debut in 2025, highlighting its ongoing investment in high-quality K-drama productions.

Unmasked

Starring Kim Hye-soo, Unmasked follows a dedicated team of investigative journalists exposing society’s darkest crimes.

Knock-Off

This gripping drama stars Kim Soo-hyun and Cho Bo-ah and tells the story of a desperate man who dives into the world of counterfeit trade to rebuild his life.

Nine Puzzles

A mystery thriller featuring Kim Da-mi and Son Suk-ku. The plot centers around a complex investigation involving a chilling serial killer.

Low Life

With Ryu Seung-ryong and Lim Soo-jung in lead roles, this drama follows a group of men in a race to claim a recently discovered treasure.

Hyper Knife

Park Eun-bin returns to the screen as a renegade neurosurgeon involved in illegal medical procedures.

Avatar: Fire and Ash

The third installment in James Cameron’s Avatar saga hits theaters on December 19, 2025. The story introduces the Ash People, a new Na’vi tribe affected by a volcanic catastrophe. Returning characters Jake Sully and Neytiri must confront this new threat to their family.

Mufasa: The Lion King

Set to premiere on December 18, 2025, this animated feature tells the origin story of Mufasa, exploring his journey from an orphaned cub to a legendary king.

Sequels and Fan Favorites

Audiences can also look forward to sequels of popular Disney films like Moana and Zootopia, as well as the debut of Snow White in a new musical adaptation scheduled for March 2025.

Additionally, Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 is slated for release on Disney+, expanding the Star Wars universe with new animated stories.
